Program Summary

Under the AFCAP V Program, KBR supports the U.S. Air Force by providing Engineering Support Services to the 378 ECES. These services ensure mission-critical Installation Engineering, Asset Management and Visibility, and Real Property support to the 378 AEW. In addition to Engineering Support Services at Prince Sultan Air Base, KBR also provides food services and other quality-of-life support to sustain base operations.

Job Summary

The WFSM Technician supports Utilities and Facilities Sub-AMP activities by providing technical expertise and field assessment capability for plumbing systems, fire suppression systems, water treatment systems, fuel storage/distribution systems, and associated controls. The role supports BIAT and SMS BUILDER asset visibility requirements through high-quality inventory and condition assessment execution.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform HVAC system condition assessments and inventory validation in SMS BUILDER
  • Support maintenance-based assessments during PM where applicable and document updates per work closeout rules
  • Identify inventory/assessment discrepancies and correct within required timelines
  • Provide system-level recommendations to Sub-AMP/AMP leadership for requirement prioritization and investment planning
  • Participate in Sub-AMP working groups and support the development/balancing of PM plans and CM strategies
  • Support data quality standards and assist with quarterly reviews of shop data entry quality/timeliness
  • Coordinate with Operations Flight shops on work task grouping and deconfliction for WRRB submissions


Basic Qualifications
  • Equivalent of Air Force minimum 5-level (or equivalent) and 5+ years experience in plumbing, fire suppression, water treatment, fuels storage/distribution, and associated controls
  • AFIT required: WENG 200, WMGT 231, WMGT 417
  • Ability to document condition and inventory data to required standards and timelines


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting environmental/public health compliance workflows related to utilities (sampling/reporting coordination exposure)
  • BUILDER assessor experience and familiarity with Uniformat II / NISTIR 6389 nomenclature
  • Experience supporting outage coordination and system lifecycle sustainment planning
