- Create and maintain project documentation and plans, to include project timelines, resource allocations, and budgets
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential project challenges
- Establish project governance and communication protocols
- Lead and manage geographically dispersed project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and performance feedback
- Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear communication and action items
- Monitor project progress and performance against plan, identifying and addressing deviations
- Track project budget and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines
- Manage project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Utilize project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to effectively manage projects
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders on a regular basis
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization
- Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units
- Ensure project deliverables are completed and meet quality standards
- Conduct project closure activities, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder sign-off
- Evaluate project performance and identify lessons learned for future projects
- Prepare and present project reports to management.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in project management
- Contribute to the development and improvement of project management methodologies and processes
- Demonstrate strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and direction
- Successfully communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Identify and resolve project issues
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant discipline preferred
- Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) required
Experience:
- 6+ years of general professional experience required
- 5+ years of direct experience in IT Project Management required
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
