Material Control Technician

As the Material Control Technician, you will be responsible for managing, tracking, and controlling the flow of materials and equipment at Al Udeid Air Base. This role ensures accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and accountability of all materials while maintaining compliance with established policies, procedures, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain accurate records of material receipt, storage, and issuance using inventory management systems.
• Perform regular inventory audits to verify stock levels and ensure accountability.
• Monitor and track material movement to support operational requirements.
• Coordinate with logistics, supply, and maintenance teams to ensure timely delivery of required items.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for compliance with specifications and documentation.
• Prepare reports on inventory status, shortages, and discrepancies.
• Implement and maintain proper storage procedures to prevent loss, damage, or deterioration of materials.
• Support the supply chain team in forecasting and planning material needs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations in handling materials.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in material management, logistics, inventory control, or supply operations.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Familiarity with inventory management systems and databases.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-tempo environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to prepare accurate reports.
• Physical ability to lift and move materials as required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License
• Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)
• Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar
• Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
• Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

TRAVEL: 100%, in deployed location.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
