Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Managing and coordinating population-based and targeted prevention programs to address problematic behaviors such as suicide, sexual assault, harassment, substance misuse, and violence.; AND
2. Advising senior leadership on data-informed prevention strategies of program and climate assessments to drive organizational change and ensure policy compliance; AND
3. Identify risk and protective factors utilizing various methods such as, analytical techniques, statistical methods, to assess program effectiveness, measure outcomes, and provide actionable recommendations; AND
4. Coordinating with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts such as, mental health, equal opportunity, and family advocacy partners to synchronize prevention efforts, trainings and education to various groups.

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position

Priority consideration will be given to military spouse preference and family member preference eligible residing in the commute area of the duty location for this position. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
Military Spouses and Family Members may apply 30 days before their anticipated arrival date. However, they will not receive preference until arrival at the foreign location. Additional documentation may be required prior to granting preference.

- You will be responsible in providing advise to command leaders on suicide prevention program areas (e.g., training, intervention, response, reporting).
- You will be responsible in collecting data to identify trends and organizational needs to support the military or civilian community.
- You will be interpreting laws and regulations to comply with established provisions governing clinical services or counseling.
- You will be identifying common themes, trends, compliance history, causal factors, or other parameters related to special study or research topics.
- You will be the liaison with professionals (e.g., counselors, chaplains, commands, community support centers) to coordinate prevention programs.
- You will be participating on case review committees to express the interests of a Counseling and Advocacy services group.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
