We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support a USAF Reserve Unit maintaining the MH-139 Grey Wolf helicopter. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and modification of aircraft systems, including integrated conventional weapons systems. Prior military helicopter maintenance experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, disassemble, modify, upgrade, and overhaul aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes
Configure aircraft systems and bench test equipment
Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical systems
Perform maintenance, repair, inspection, fabrication, and modification of aircraft systems and subassemblies
Conduct pretest, operational, functional, electrical, mechanical, and final testing of systems and components
Perform validation and verification testing to ensure system performance and airworthiness
Inspect components and verify repairs meet flight-worthiness and regulatory requirements
Document all work performed, including repairs, test results, inspections, and modifications, in accordance with contractual and regulatory standards
Oversee assembly, disassembly, overhaul activities, and provide guidance and training to junior technicians
Weapons & Mission Systems Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair integrated conventional weapons systems, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, and Alternate Mission Equipment (AME)
Remove and install weapons system electronic components, bomb navigation systems, launch, release, and suspension assemblies
Perform configuration changes based on mission requirements
Conduct explosive operations, including loading, unloading, positioning, arming, and safing of conventional air munitions and pyrotechnics
Support weapons system testing both on-equipment and off-equipment
