Controlling the distribution and storage of various grades of bulk petroleum products by assisting in controlling the operation of a multi-fuel storage and distribution system; Inspecting and testing hoses, lines, tanks, and pumps for leaks and loose fittings and reporting breaks and malfunctions to supervisor; Accurately gauging tanks by manual or automated calibrated measuring devices to determine volume of contents; Closing system and ensuring that fuel farm is secure, locking all pumps, doors, windows, gauges, and recovery hatches; and calculating the rate of fuel flow and regulating tank feed control valves to obtain and maintain adequate pump suction, pump motor amperage and proper tank levels.

Eligible DoD career or career conditional employees shall be granted statutory return rights to their former position for a period of 5 years if continuously employed in a foreign or non-foreign area provided by Executive Order 10895 and DoDI 1400.25, v 1230. PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
- You will inventory and inspect the storage/distribution, and the condition of the products received and issued.
- You will inspect and test hoses, lines, tanks, and pumps for leaks and loose fittings and report breaks and malfunctions to supervisor.
- You will accurately read and document meter readings of pump and storage tanks and perform operator maintenance of fuel storage and dispensing equipment.
- You will make minor repairs to tanks, pumps and valves by replacing packaging, tightening seals, and installing gasket.
- You will utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- You will perform operator maintenance various motor vehicles, small craft, oil spill recovery equipment and machinery, jitney tractors, forklifts, and record inventories and records for fuel, oil and other supplies used.
- You will oversee and direct safe operation of a complex bulk fuel distribution system consisting of several separate storage areas, pumping stations and receiving/dispensing points.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a CDL.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
