Job Description

As a Security Officer - Logistics Overnight Patrol Driver in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a high-tech aerospace and defense location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, hangar and shop areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, authorizations, and vehicle information, and maintaining required logs.
• Complete detailed security-related documentation, including patrol activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observations to site leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have 1+ year of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
