Position Description
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assist with 3D CAD modeling
- Assist with preparing 2D drawings for fabrication, assembly, and installation including BOM generation
- Assist with CAD database maintenance
- Assist with performing mechanical structural analyses
- Assist with in-house assembly, inspection, and testing of system hardware or prototype
Qualifications Required:
- Current college student working towards a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 1-3 years related experience
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D mechanical CAD software
- Strong computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications Desired:
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software and Mathcad
- Work on design competition team such as Formula SAE, Baja SAE, Robotics, or similar
