Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $70.00 to $78.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
  • Work full-time onsite at headquarters in Washington, DC with coverage ending between 5 pm and 7 pm daily.
  • Support server infrastructure in a 24x7 on-call escalation rotation once every 2 to 3 months.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and enhance service delivery through automation and scripting.
  • Oversee daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, and review system and application logs and scheduled jobs.
  • Serve as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting and guide resolution of complex production, application, or system problems.
  • Perform provisioning, patching, and day-to-day management of servers including vulnerability remediation.
  • Provide technical expertise to prevent service degradations and restore services during outages.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and problem management for Windows systems and tools.
  • Improve processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
  • Support new enterprise systems and contribute to engineering solutions addressing existing issues.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting steps.

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience managing environments of 2000+ servers across multiple field site locations.
  • Experience leading troubleshooting calls across multiple teams using a multi-discipline approach.
  • Extensive knowledge of multi-vendor server operating systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise Windows operations and engineering.
  • Expert-level Microsoft Server administration.
  • Expert-level scripting with MS Graph, PowerShell, and VBScript.
  • Expert-level experience with Windows Server 2019 to 2022.
  • Expert-level experience with VMware vSphere and Hyper-V virtualization.
  • Senior-level experience with Active Directory and Entra.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast tempo ITSM support environment.
  • IT Service Management services delivery to the US Government (preferred).
  • Microsoft certifications such as Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Endpoint Administrator Associate, Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate, or MS365 Certified Administrator Expert (preferred).
  • AWS or Azure cloud certifications (preferred).
  • VMware certifications (preferred).
  • Google certifications or experience with Google Workspace deployment and implementation (preferred).
  • ServiceNow ITSM platform experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of DISA STIG and CIS Benchmark guidelines for Microsoft Windows servers (preferred).
  • Intune access experience with co-management across MS Intune and SCCM/MECM (preferred).
  • Knowledge of PKI technologies including DigiCert, Sectigo, KeyFactor, and certificate issuance and management solutions (preferred).
  • Additional professional IT or Project Management certifications (preferred).
