Join a dynamic team supporting the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) GMD Weapons Systems (GWS) program as a Systems Requirements Engineer on the Architecture and Delivery Requirements (A&D) Team. This role emphasizes first-time quality of architecture, requirements, test, and verification products in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and guide systems engineering team to ensure first time quality of all Architecture, Requirements, Test and Verification products.
- This will involve the review, development and approval of the following:
- Verification test products
- Verification documentation
- Requirement products such as new requirements, derived and system level
- Traceability analysis
- Schedules, plans and performance to those plans
- Participate in requirements development and verification products
- Document analysis results in reports and briefings for review and critique by stakeholders
- Create and present briefings within the team, to Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and supporting stakeholders
- Duties will include leading teams of engineers in the development of products
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 5+ years of experience (Or Master's degree and 3 years of experience)
- Background in systems engineering and requirements verification
- Hands-on experience with DOORS
- Recent experience authoring system requirements
- Ability to analyze, document, and present complex technical data effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Test and Verification processes
- Experience with the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system
- Exposure to CAMEO or model-based systems engineering tools
- Direct test experience within a defense program
