Connsci is seeking a Cloud Architect with deep experience supporting cloud and cloud security solutions for federal information systems. This role supports cloud architecture design, FedRAMP assessments, and continuous monitoring capabilities for agency systems operating in cloud environments.
The Cloud Architect serves as a technical authority for cloud security architecture, automation, and compliance analysis in support of agency cybersecurity requirements.
In this role, you can expect to:
• Design and assess cloud and cloud security solutions supporting federal information systems.
• Support FedRAMP authorization activities by assessing cloud services against applicable security controls.
• Design and implement continuous monitoring (ConMon) solutions for cloud systems and applications.
• Develop AI-enabled compliance automation solutions to collect, analyze, and centralize FedRAMP and security control data.
• Assess networking architectures including AWS native firewalls, AWS Direct Connect, AWS Outposts networking, and reverse proxy configurations.
• Analyze and interpret security events and alerts generated by SIEM tools such as Splunk.
• Review and analyze reports from AWS security services including GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Amazon Inspector.
• Assess data encryption implementations for data in transit and at rest, including SSL/TLS.
• Identify potential vulnerabilities related to data handling and configuration integrity.
Basic Qualifications:
• Master's degree.
• At least 10 years of experience supporting cloud and cloud security solutions in federal government systems.
• Strong expertise in AWS networking and security architectures.
• Demonstrated experience supporting FedRAMP, continuous monitoring, and cloud compliance activities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
