We are seeking a hands-on Corporate IT Support professional to support a hybrid on-site and Cloud Computing (Microsoft Azure) environment, with responsibility for corporate IT services and IR&D lab equipment and servers.
This role serves as a primary point of contact for internal users, executive leadership, and third-party IT vendors, and supports the organization’s CMMC compliance and certification efforts to join our team.
The Corporate IT Support & IR&D Systems Administrator role will be based in the Chantilly, VA area.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate IT & End-User Support
• Troubleshoot laptops, workstations, email, Microsoft SharePoint, and MFA issues
• Respond to employee IT requests and validate suspicious or phishing emails
• Process MFA device changes and authentication issues
• Escalate issues to vendors or managed service providers as needed
Microsoft 365 & SharePoint Administration
• Administer SharePoint structure and permissions, including external users
• Manage Microsoft GCC licenses
• Maintain guest user and shared mailbox access lists
• Block phishing and spam using Microsoft Defender
• Send quarterly phishing awareness communications
IR&D Lab & Infrastructure Support
• Support IR&D lab servers, systems, and equipment
• Support for IT air gapped environments maintaining secure, isolated networks with no direct internet access, relying on manual, verified, and often physical processes for patching, updates, and data transfers.
• Coordinate procurement, setup, and lifecycle management of lab hardware
Vendor, Security & Compliance Support
• Serve as primary IT POC with Outsourced Managed IT Provider for IT projects and support
• Support CMMC certification efforts, including control implementation, evidence collection, and coordination with external assessors
• Coordinate quarterly reviews and create support tickets as requested
• Administer or support platforms including InMotion Hosting, Vonage, 8x8, Oracle, and Sophos
Asset & Equipment Management
• Order and provision laptops, workstations, and peripherals
• Coordinate onboarding IT setup with Outsourced Managed IT Provider
• Track and manage company-owned IT assets
• Support equipment recovery during employee terminations
• Maintain inventory and asset tagging records
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of corporate IT support or systems administration experience
• Experience supporting hybrid on-site and Azure environments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Defender, MFA, and endpoint security
• Experience supporting or participating in CMMC certification or other Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts in cybersecurity which involves evaluating system security and granting authority to operate (ATO).
• Experience working with vendors and managed service providers
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
• SECRET Clearance at a minimum
Preferred:
• Hands-on experience with CMMC Level 2 requirements
• Experience supporting lab or R&D environments
• Familiarity with telephony platforms (Vonage, 8x8)
• Experience in regulated or security-focused environments
