Position: Junior SharePoint Consultant
Location: National Capital Region/Hybrid
Employment Type: Consultant
Q2IMPACT is seeking a highly capable, mission-driven, and culturally competent SharePoint Junior-
Level Consultant who will support our SharePoint Developer and team in developing SharePoint
solutions to support business processes and improve efficiency. This role will require an
understanding of SharePoint architecture, development frameworks, best practices and User
Experience (UX).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Solution Design
• Assist in translating business requirements into SharePoint-based solutions with a focus on
user experience and intuitive interface design.
• Contribute to the design and development of SharePoint solutions—including custom
workflows, web parts, and applications—with responsive UI components that align with
usability standards and accessibility best practices.
• Collaborate with SharePoint Developer to conduct UX research, gather UI feedback, and
ensure the solution meets functional needs and delivers an optimal user experience.
Development
• Support the development of SharePoint solutions with the SharePoint Developer using
development frameworks (Microsoft 365 Tools) while embedding UI/UX best practices into
the application design and navigation flow.
• Create custom web parts, workflows, and interactive components, ensuring they are user-
friendly, visually consistent, and aligned with brand and usability standards.
• Assist team in integrating SharePoint with other systems and applications using APIs and
connectors, while maintaining a cohesive and seamless user interface across platforms.
Testing and Quality Assurance
• Test and debug SharePoint solutions with a dual focus on functional performance and user
interface quality, ensuring responsive design and consistent cross-browser compatibility.
• Perform unit, integration, and system testing, including UI/UX validation and user
acceptance testing (UAT) to gather feedback and fine-tune the design.
• Provide basic technical support, especially for front-end usability issues.
Maintenance and Support
• Provide maintenance and support for SharePoint solutions, including applying updates and
improvements based on user feedback and analytics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to both back-end logic and front-end user
experience defects.
• Stay current with SharePoint technologies as well as emerging UX/UI trends, tools, and
frameworks.
Documentation
• Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation for SharePoint solutions,
including wireframes, style guides, and user workflows.
• Ensure documentation is clear for both technical teams and end users to support usability.
• Work closely with the SharePoint Developer and other team members to ensure alignment
and knowledge sharing.
,MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience developing SharePoint solutions.
• Secret Clearance
• An understanding of SharePoint architecture, development frameworks, and best practices.
• Experience with SharePoint workflows, web parts, and custom applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
• Certifications in SharePoint development or Microsoft 365.
• Experience with SharePoint migration and upgrade projects.
• Knowledge of Azure and cloud-based SharePoint solutions.
