Structural Analysis Engineer
Location: Palmdale, CA (on-site)
Compensation: up to $120/hr
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret with an investigation within 5 years or CE enrollment. Previously cleared to Special Access Programs a plus.
Responsibilities:
Uses computational methods and tools in a specialized field (strength of metallic and composite structures, finite element analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance, etc.)
Responsible for establishing structural specifications and performing structural analysis on new designs of primary and secondary airframe structure
Required Minimum skills:
6+ years experience in stress analysis of subsystems and subsystems installations
6+ years experience with structural mechanics simulation software including NASTRAN and PATRAN required
Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX operating systems. Candidate must be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings and models.
Desired Skills:
Experience using Altair HyperMesh as a pre-processor and TMP Vision for post-processing desired
Experience with CATIA V5/3DX highly desired
Level 4 Experience Required for the following skills:
Airframe primary structure layout and sizing
Hand/Excel based analysis of aerospace structures
NASTRAN and PATRAN or HyperMesh
