Description:
You will be the Software Configuration & Data Management Engineer for the Infrared Search Track (IRST) Systems team. Our team designs, builds, and sustains cutting edge IRST sensors that fly on a variety of platforms for multiple customers. We drive the software foundation that enables rapid development, reliable production, and long term sustainment of these high performance systems.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Software Configuration & Data Management Engineer you will be the backbone of our software control process, ensuring every line of code, document, and data deliverable is accurate, traceable, and delivered on schedule. You'll work hand in hand with engineers, quality auditors, and external customers in a fast paced, Agile environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining and governing software configuration databases (Git/GitLab/GitHub) for current and future IRST programs.
• Chairing Software Engineering Board meetings, capturing peer review results, and enforcing configuration control of code and related documents.
• Executing Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) to reconcile design intent with the released software product, using relational databases for traceability.
• Performing engineering releases: validating drawings, specifications, and BOMs; updating the product lifecycle management (PLM) repository; and ensuring all artifacts have proper reviewer approvals.
• Managing contract data deliverables (CDRL/SDRL): scheduling, tracking, and submitting required data packages on time, while maintaining accurate metrics for leadership and customers.
• Collaborating with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and data owners to coordinate timely data submissions and resolve discrepancies.
• Supporting SQA audits, generating metrics reports, and continuously improving documentation standards to meet policy and specification requirements.
• Leveraging Agile tools (Jira, Confluence) to track work, report progress, and drive process improvements.
