The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS)
Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The program's two primary operating locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA, and Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.
The Engineer selected for this position will be assigned to the Electrical Engineering team and must have the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance so they can work with teammates to accomplish the proper sustainment and operations of U.S. Government security systems supporting Launch processing activities. The applicant selected will join the PLSSS Engineering program and work with a team responsible for the operational status, troubleshooting, modification, and sustainment of spacecraft processing and support facilities.
Working at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, the candidate will be responsible to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, while using sound judgment to make minor adaptations and modifications to existing designs. Work closely with and apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout their daily activities to meet specific criteria and requirements. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards for the service, installation, and maintenance of systems, including UFC, and OSHA safety standards.
As a Systems Engineer - Early Career you will primarily be supporting Security Management Systems to perform the following functions;
• Assist in the sustainment and operations of the Enterprise Access Control System, Perimeter Detection System, Operational and Security Closed Circuit Video Systems, and Video Walls.
• Apply cybersecurity fundamentals to networking equipment, including hardening, analysis, vulnerability management
• Support engineering efforts to Lockheed leadership, U.S. Government, and Satellite Vehicle Contractor personnel.
• Implement concurrent projects to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree from an accredited college
• US Citizen with ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance and CI Poly
• Ability to work occasional odd shifts

• Interest in operational security

• Demonstrated ability to multi-task
