Piper Companies is seeking a Consulting Network Engineer to support a federal-sector technology organization with complex enterprise networking initiatives. The Consulting Network Engineer will serve as a senior technical expert with deep Route/Switch knowledge.
Responsibilities of the Consulting Network Engineer:
• Deliver advanced enterprise networking consulting services across DoD-aligned customer environments.
• Design, implement, and optimize complex Cisco Route/Switch solutions and related architectures.
• Support modern network technologies including SDA, SDWAN, and security platforms in mission-critical environments.
• Troubleshoot advanced network issues and provide high-level guidance to customer engineering teams.
• Contribute to deployment planning, architectural reviews, and phased implementation strategies.
Qualifications of the Consulting Network Engineer:
• Advanced Cisco Enterprise Networking certifications, preferably CCNP and/or CCIE.
• 10+ years of IT consulting experience, ideally supporting DoD or highly regulated customer environments.
• Strong technical background in enterprise Route/Switch technologies with hands-on experience in SDA, SDWAN, and security solutions.
• Experience supporting complex government or defense network programs.
Compensation for the Consulting Network Engineer includes:
• Salary range: $140,000 - $155,000
