Technatomy is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to support the Digital Transformation Center (DTC) Integration Platform (DIP) - a secure, cloud-native API ecosystem that enables reliable, real-time data exchange between Salesforce and multiple enterprise systems. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of a mission-critical integration platform operating at enterprise scale. The Senior QA Analyst will lead testing activities across API integrations, platform enhancements, and sustainment efforts, working closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders in an Agile delivery environment. The position is ideal for a QA professional with strong analytical skills who is comfortable testing backend systems, APIs, and integration workflows rather than purely UI-based applications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead quality assurance activities for the DIP platform, including sustainment, platform-level enhancements, and limited new API development.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for APIs, integrations, and backend services.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and deployment testing across development, test, and production-adjacent environments.
• Validate data flows, transformations, and error handling across system-to-system integrations.
• Conduct manual testing of REST-based APIs and web services, including request/response validation and edge-case scenarios.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, DevOps, and architects to identify test requirements early in the delivery lifecycle.
• Log, track, and manage defects through resolution, including root-cause analysis and verification of fixes.
• Support release readiness activities by validating deployment artifacts, release notes, and test evidence.
• Contribute to documentation and artifacts required for platform compliance and ATO renewal support, including test evidence and traceability.
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure quality is embedded throughout delivery.
• Mentor junior QA resources and promote consistent testing standards and best practices across the team.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• 6-8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing roles, with senior-level responsibility.
• Strong experience testing APIs, integrations, and backend systems.
• Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for complex systems.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON payloads.
• Experience with defect tracking and work management tools such as Jira.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
• Experience working with Federal agencies, particularly the Department of Veterans Affairs, is a plus.
• Experience testing integration platforms, middleware, or API ecosystems.
• Exposure to automated testing tools or frameworks (API automation, Selenium, Provar, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and environments, particularly AWS-hosted systems.
• Experience supporting systems with uptime, SLA, or operational requirements.
• Prior experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments is a plus.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
CLEARANCE:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
WORK LOCATION:
• Remote
