Credence has an immediate opening for an experienced Oracle APEX Application Developer who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Institute of Technology School of Civilian Institution Programs (AFIT/CI) at WPAFB, OH.
AFIT/CI is the Air Force's professional arm managing and providing administrative control and funding support to Air Force and Space Force officers, enlisted, and civilians selected to complete advanced academic and professional degrees, fellowships with industry partners, and medical professional residencies in sister services, federal agencies, and non-federal educational programs located in the United States and abroad. Additionally, AFIT/CI funds the Air Force Medical Command (AFMED) Health Professions Loan Repayment Program. Each year, the Civilian Institution Programs Directorate supports over 2,500 active duty and reserve officers enrolled in educational programs nationwide and overseas and evaluates and processes loan repayments for over 45 participants in the Health Professions Loan Repayment Program. The Directorate's advanced academic degrees, fellowships, and medical professional residencies range in length anywhere from ten months to seven years and are conducted in primarily traditional face-to-face, brick and mortar campus classroom and business industry settings.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
- Provide support to the AFIT/CI development team in designing and implementing web-based applications and services for the organization, working closely with the team to understand project requirements, develop code, test applications, and troubleshoot any issues.
- Assist with code audits to ensure that website and application code is secure, efficient, and up to date, adhering to best practices and industry standards, and ensuring necessary updates or patches are implemented in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development and implementation of an Oracle Application Express (APEX) Application and make recommendations for modifications to or creation of new fields in APEX to improve website functionality and user experience.
- Provide support to the development team in various phases of application development, from planning to launch. This includes, but is not limited to: answering questions, directing team members to the correct resources, providing assistance to other team members, maintaining and updating project documentation, and reviewing website code for errors or inconsistencies.
- Provide a wide range of other technical support services to the AFIT/CI staff in support of web-based projects managed by the department, including:
- Provide technical support with various web development tools and platforms, to include:
- Assisting with website analytics and reporting.
- Assisting with website optimization and performance tuning.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of website security protocols.
Requirements
- Clearance: Secret
- Eight years of experience in IT, with 1-2 years of dedicated experience in Oracle APEX development and deployment.
- Strong understanding of APEX Page Designer, Interactive Grids and Classic Reports, APEX components, APEX security features, APEX themes and templates, Dynamic Actions, JavaScript integration within APEX, APEX RESTful Services, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages and frameworks
- Experience with Database Knowledge, to include a solid understanding of Oracle database concepts, such as: Data modeling, Database design, SQL query optimization, Indexing strategies and Database security
- Experience in integrating APEX applications with other systems (e.g., using APIs, web services)
