Description
This position is hybrid and may require work in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Patuxent River, MD
The LSI SME will play a critical role in supporting Attollo customers in the development of service level requirements regarding Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), subsystems, System of Systems (SoS), and Family of Systems (FoS) in the operational context, including campaign, mission, engagement, and force structure analysis. The SME will provide expert knowledge and guidance related to the identification, analysis, and documentation of service level requirements. In addition, the SME will work with fellow team members to achieve the customers' requirements. This position requires an understanding of Department of War (DoW) processes, regulations, and policies, as well as excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders from various DoW organizations, including program managers, subject matter experts, and acquisition professionals, to understand their needs and requirements.
- Analyze operational needs: Participate in the analysis of operational requirements to identify service level requirements necessary to achieve mission objectives and support warfighting capabilities.
- Develop service level requirements documentation: Utilize expertise in DoW processes, regulations, and policies to participate in the development of comprehensive and well-defined service level requirements that align with ability to adjust and execute the process being adopted to replace JCIDS or other Middle Tier and rapid acquisition efforts.
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate documentation of service level requirements, including functional and performance specifications, within the framework of the requirements development process.
- Conduct assessments: Provide subject matter expertise and input to evaluate and assess the feasibility and validity of proposed service level requirements, ensuring they are realistic, achievable, and cost-effective.
- Support capability gap analysis: Collaborate with the organization's capability development teams to identify capability gaps and develop strategies to address them through service level requirements.
- Coordinate and participate with working groups and forums to facilitate discussions, provide subject matter expertise, and contribute to the development of consensus-driven service level requirements. Participates as a member of and/or supports the specified Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and IPT directed business meetings.
- Stay abreast of evolving DoW policies, initiatives, and emerging technologies relevant to service level requirements development and contribute to continuous process improvement efforts.
- Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have working knowledge and experience with military Aviation and UAS capabilities.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, and independent verification and validation techniques.
- W orking knowledge of the requirements development process; familiarization with other Middle Tier and rapid acquisition efforts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive requirement analysis and translate operational needs into actionable service level requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Must be able to perform tasks with little or no guidance.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Project, Excel, Outlook)
- Must be competent in using common desktop applications, internal systems, classified networks, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat reader, and comfortable using general office technology
- Must have an active US SECRET security clearance with eligibility to TS/SCI.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, defense studies, or a related discipline) or 10 years military experience.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- You will be required to obtain a final US SECRET security clearance with eligibility to TS/SCI prior to beginning work. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) may be required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position requires travel.
WORK HOURS
- Work hours are generally M-F 0730-1600 . The customer may approve or request different work hours, depending on mission requirements.
