About the Role:

As a Database Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions that support critical business operations. Your role will focus on creating efficient data models, writing optimized SQL queries, and developing stored procedures to ensure data integrity and accessibility. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable database architectures. Additionally, you will be tasked with performance tuning and troubleshooting to enhance database responsiveness and reliability.

Location: Remote. The selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, one of the states supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MN, MS, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA. (No relocation assistance provided.)

Clearance Requirements:

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement database solutions using PostgreSQL and Oracle platforms.
  • Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support application requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data models and schemas to ensure data consistency and integrity.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of database systems to improve efficiency and reduce latency.
  • Manage data migration projects, ensuring seamless transfer and integration of data across systems.
  • Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver database solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance data warehouses to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Monitor database performance and implement necessary improvements or fixes.
  • Document database designs, processes, and standards to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in database development.
  • Proven experience in database development using PostgreSQL and Oracle.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience with data modeling and database schema design.
  • Familiarity with data migration techniques and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization in large-scale database environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database services and platforms.
  • Certifications related to database technologies such as Oracle Certified Professional or PostgreSQL certifications.
