About the Role:

As a Junior Software Developer within the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services industry, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications primarily using Java. You will collaborate closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring high-quality and efficient software solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow technical expertise and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment. Your contributions will directly impact the delivery of scalable and reliable software products that meet client needs. Ultimately, you will help drive the success of software projects by applying best practices and continuously improving your development skills.

Location: Remote. The selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, one of the states supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MN, MS, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA. (No relocation assistance provided.)

Clearance Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, coding, testing, and debugging of Java-based applications.
• Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze software requirements.
• Assist in the documentation of software functionality and development processes.
• Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing software systems.
• Engage in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and performance.
• Work within the Software Development Life Cycle to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues as they arise.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-4 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java or Python programming language with a solid understanding of object-oriented principles.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of software debugging and testing techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Exposure to web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of database concepts and SQL.
