Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Urban Planner to join our team! In this role you will get to lead the development and implementation of strategic urban plans aligned with national and regional visions, while managing mega urban development projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve sustainable and resilient urban growth.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the development and implementation of strategic urban plans aligned with national and regional visions.
• Manage and coordinate mega urban development projects, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, environmental specialists, and government entities.
• Provide expert guidance on land use, zoning, infrastructure planning, and urban design.
• Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies to support planning decisions.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, policies, and international best practices.
• Mentor junior planners and contribute to capacity building within the planning team.
• Represent the organization in high-level meetings, workshops, and public consultations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 13 years of professional experience in urban planning, with a focus on strategic planning and mega projects.
• Strong background in sustainability, environmental planning, and resilient urban development.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
• Familiarity with Saudi urban development regulations and Vision 2030 initiatives.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
• Certification in AutoCAD and GIS.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Certification in sustainability, such as LEED or MOSTADAM, is a plus.
