Your Responsibilities in This Role:
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using VPC, IAM, and KMS to support secure, scalable application environments.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring repeatable and auditable environment provisioning.
- Build and operate CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and GitHub Actions to enable automated build, test, security scanning, and deployment workflows.
- Integrate security scanning and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines using SAST and DAST tools, including SonarQube and Contrast.
- Implement and manage container security and orchestration, ensuring images and runtime environments meet federal and SEC security standards.
- Establish and maintain secrets management practices for credentials, keys, and sensitive configuration data.
- Configure and operate logging, monitoring, and tracing solutions using CloudWatch and X-Ray to support observability and incident response.
- Support deployment and operations within the SEC AWS ACES environment, ensuring alignment with platform constraints and inherited controls.
- Collaborate with security teams to support continuous Authorization to Operate (cATO) activities, including security documentation, evidence collection, and automated compliance checks.
- Partner with development teams to improve reliability, deployment frequency, and security posture across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Contribute to operational playbooks, runbooks, and knowledge transfer artifacts.

- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience designing and operating AWS infrastructure, including VPC, IAM, and KMS.
- Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Experience with container security and orchestration in production environments.
- Practical experience integrating SAST and DAST tools (e.g., SonarQube, Contrast) into automated pipelines.
- Experience implementing secrets management solutions and secure configuration practices.
- Experience configuring logging, monitoring, and observability capabilities using CloudWatch and X-Ray.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Experience with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) or similar container security platforms.
- Familiarity with the SEC AWS ACES environment or comparable federal cloud platforms.
- Experience supporting or automating continuous ATO (cATO) processes.
- Experience implementing and managing Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings.
- Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings. Requires 2 to 3 days in DC office.
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person, requiring clear speech, listening, and written communication skills.
