Blu Omega is looking for an Action Officer to join a collaborative SETA team supporting the Director's Office at the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). This pivotal role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge health initiatives by providing expert operational and strategic support to senior leaders in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Your expertise will help streamline processes, coordinate high-profile engagements, and facilitate impactful decisions that advance U.S. health research and development.

Location: Washington, D.C.

Clearance Needed: NIH Public Trust

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a key operational partner supporting senior leadership, managing incoming requirements, and tracking progress on objectives and milestones.
  • Provide strategic guidance, streamline agency processes, and anticipate potential blockers to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.
  • Coordinate efforts among the Director's Office team, ensuring preparedness for meetings, engagements, and external events.
  • Support senior leadership in engagement activities, including industry events, internal programming, and external collaborations.
  • Assist with data analysis for agency acquisitions, collecting and interpreting related data to inform decision-making.
  • Monitor developments within the health and life sciences sector, assessing their implications for the agency's priorities.
  • Liaise with U.S. government officials, private sector partners, academics, and other stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and information exchange.
  • Track and report on performance metrics such as OKRs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Qualifications:
  • 7 total years of experience, specifically 5+ years experience as a Chief of Staff, Action Officer, or similar role supporting senior or executive leadership.
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Proven experience within the U.S. government, particularly in strategic planning, operations management, and complex problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with diverse stakeholders and conveying information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate team efforts and advise on strategic initiatives to meet organizational objectives.

Nice to Have:
  • 7+ years experience supporting senior leaders, especially within health R&D agencies such as ARPA-H, DARPA, IARPA, ARPA-E, or HHS programs.
  • Experience engaging with a broad stakeholder network, including government officials, private sector leaders, and academia.
  • Familiarity with U.S. health and life sciences developments and their policy implications.
  • Master's degree in a related field and advanced data analysis capabilities.
  • Availability to accommodate on-demand focus shifts and special project demands.
  • A proactive, flexible approach and strong problem-solving abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $89,455- $135,200
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
