Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Lead Architect (ELA) to provide architectural leadership for large-scale federal IT programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on experience with AWS-native application development, enterprise architecture governance, and cross-domain coordination across cloud, APIs, data platforms, and DevSecOps pipelines.
This role requires both strategic leadership and technical execution within complex government environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead enterprise architecture efforts for large federal IT programs, ensuring alignment with mission, security, and compliance requirements
• Provide architectural oversight across cloud infrastructure, application platforms, APIs, data ecosystems, and DevSecOps pipelines
• Design, develop, and deploy AWS-native, cloud-first solutions
• Collaborate with program managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to guide solution delivery
• Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance
• Support modernization initiatives and cloud migration efforts
• Mentor architects and senior engineers across programs

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in architectural leadership on federal IT programs
• 5+ years managing or supporting programs of comparable size and complexity
• Strong hands-on experience developing and deploying AWS-native applications
• Proven experience coordinating enterprise architecture across:
• Cloud platforms (AWS)
• API management and integration
• Data platforms and data architecture
• DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Active AWS certification(s) (Required)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting USDA NRCS or similar federal agencies
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST, and federal security frameworks
• Experience in large-scale cloud modernization or transformation programs
