Overview
BlueWater Federal is seeking a talented and experienced Solutions Architect to serve as a lead technical solution strategist supporting Government capture (customer meetings, white papers, RFIs), proposal development, and contract operations activities.
As the Solutions Architect, you will be a trusted technical advisor and solution lead, responsible for translating Government technical requirements into clear, executable architectures and persuasive technical narratives. You will lead solutioning sessions, develop high‑quality written content, and represent BlueWater Federal in technical discussions with teaming partners and Government and Industry stakeholders.

You will lead solutioning sessions, develop high‑quality written content, and represent BlueWater Federal in technical discussions with teaming partners and Government and Industry stakeholders.
This is a fully remote role
Responsibilities
- Lead solutioning sessions with internal staff (i.e., technical staff/SMEs, BD/Capture lead, Ops, Proposal Mgr.) and externally with teaming partners to develop technical solutions that address Government RFP/RFQ requirements, PWS/SOW objectives, and evaluation criteria.
- Design end-to-end technical solutions spanning cloud, enterprise IT, cybersecurity, AI/ML, app and software development, and mission systems/services.
- Develop architecture artifacts including solution diagrams (with People, Processes, and Tools), system views, graphics, workflows, integration concepts, and technical trade studies.
- Serve as lead author for technical approach sections of RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs by consolidating and refining input from SMEs, engineers, PMs, and executives into cohesive, customer-aligned proposal narratives.
- Draft and review technical white papers, concept papers, and solution briefs that clearly articulate BlueWater Federal's capabilities and proposed approaches.
- Translate complex technical solutions into clear, persuasive narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in technical meetings, discussions, and solution briefings with Government personnel.
- Support Capture planning by shaping technical strategies, discriminators, and win themes.
- Advise Business Development team on solution feasibility, risks, alternatives, and pricing considerations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field.
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT, software development, cloud, Cyber, DevSecOps, or systems architecture.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical solutioning for Government RFIs/RFQs/RFPs.
- Proven experience as a primary technical writer or major contributor for federal proposal technical volumes.
- Experience supporting DoD IT programs (e.g., USAF, USSF, Navy, Army, DISA, Joint) is desired
- Experience with application modernization, cloud migration, Zero Trust, and secure enterprise architectures is desired
