Job Description:
The ISSO will provide comprehensive security support for FBI IT systems throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with SAA requirements and maintaining system Authorization to Operate (ATO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and maintain SAA documentation, including risk assessments and ATO packages.
- Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of per FBI and federal policies.
- Conduct continuous monitoring and compliance activities to maintain system security.
- Respond to agency and federal data calls, including vulnerability and patch reporting.
- Act as the primary point of contact for system owners regarding security posture and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in system security documentation, compliance, and continuous monitoring.
- Knowledge of NIST RMF, FISMA, and federal security standards.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
Estimated Locations:
- NCR (J. Edgar Hoover Building): Majority of ISSOs will be based here.
- HSV (FBI Campus): Support for systems at the FBI Campus.
- CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Systems): Minimal presence for CJIS systems.
