Description
NexGen Data Systems is looking for a dynamic Full Stack Developer to produce scalable web applications. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full web applications life cycle, from conception to deployment as well as working to upgrade current applications. This position will support both internal and external customers in the DHA network. The Full Stack Developer will assist with developing and maintaining web applications to meet customer needs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Updating and modifying a homegrown web application to meet customer needs.
• Developing new web applications using scripting and object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar.
• Building, maintaining, testing, and debugging modern technology stacks that include Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5 devices.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Collaborate with customers to design web applications to meet their needs.
• Upgrade features to current applications to enhance the product and user experience.
• Maintain web applications after deployment.
• Work collaboratively with a team towards a common goal.
• Work to develop web applications in Department of Defense environment.
• Hands on experience programming and developing Web Apps.

Desired/Required Skills:
• Active Secret or higher Department of Defense clearance is required for consideration.
• 8140 compliance required (Sec+ and OS Certification).
• 6-9 years’ experience with scripting and object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar.
• Familiarity with the most common SQL variations (preferably SQL Server and Postgres).
• Experience with API Creation and RESTful services.
• Working knowledge of modern JavaScript libraries like React, Vue, or Angular.
• Familiarity with GitLab or other Git based platforms.
• Familiarity with both Linux and Windows server environments.
• Familiarity with the most common Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2, SQS, Lambda, RDS).
• Experience designing, building, maintaining, testing, and debugging modern technology stacks.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Enjoy complex solving problems.
• You love taking on difficult challenges and finding solutions.
• You can understand the reason behind a process, but you're also enthusiastic about spotting room for improvement.
• You pay attention to the details.
• You can explain just about anything to anyone, and you’re comfortable communicating in writing and on the phone.
