POSITION OVERVIEW
STi is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and sustain the data foundation supporting COMFRC readiness and sustainment analytics. This role focuses on identifying/connecting data sources, automating data flows, enabling a data warehouse for multiple T/M/S aircraft datasets, and supporting consolidation/migration efforts while preserving data integrity.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify data sources needed for business questions and make data available to analysts through reliable pipelines and curated datasets.
• Define refresh/update cadence and automate data flow to a repository accessible to Government and contractor analysts.
• Develop and maintain an effective data warehouse supporting aircraft maintenance, supply, cost, operations, configuration, engineering, and related readiness data.
• Support analysis/design/development/test/implementation activities tied to database instance consolidation and efficiency improvements.
• Support data migration and historical data preservation efforts; ensure integrity and continuity during transitions.
• Document data processes and contribute to baseline training/support documentation for Government users as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret clearance required.
• BA/BS in a relevant field and 15+ years of related experience (Senior/SME level)
• Demonstrated experience designing automated data pipelines and data repositories/warehouses
• Strong experience with data validation, quality controls, and repeatable integration processes
• Strong documentation skills and stakeholder coordination experience
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to work in Government IT environments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience integrating DoD/Navy sustainment or Naval Aviation readiness datasets
• Experience supporting enterprise database consolidation and migration
• Familiarity supporting analytics dashboard enablement and “drill-down” reporting needs
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Hybrid support: Government site locations include Bldg 446/447/448, NAS Patuxent River, MD
• Normal hours typically M–F 0800–1630 (some offices allow 0600/0630–1800)
• Overtime is not authorized under this contract
• Telework/remote only with COR written approval (position/tasking dependent)
