POSITION OVERVIEW
STi is seeking a Computer Scientist (Journeyman) to support COMFRC/NAVAIR analytics capabilities, including configuration/content/dashboards and user-facing analytical tools. This role supports agile development and helps translate mission needs into reliable, maintainable software-enabled analytics products.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support development and sustainment of analytics tools and customer-facing applications enabling readiness analysis and decision support.
• Contribute to dashboard/visualization development with drill-down and trend/relationship discovery across maintenance, supply, training, and support equipment data.
• Support agile development activities, including Conceptual Model and CONOPS updates per sprint and project documentation.
• Produce/maintain technical documentation and artifacts aligned to software deliverables (e.g., plans/specifications/design/interface documentation as required).
• Collaborate with analysts and data engineers to integrate validated data sources into analytics products.
• Support Government briefings, demos, and working sessions (UNCLASSIFIED/CUI handling as applicable).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret clearance required.
• BA/BS in a relevant field and 3–15 years of related experience (Journeyman level)
• Experience supporting software development for data/analytics use cases
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to work in Government IT environments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience supporting dashboards/visual analytics and data-driven applications
• Familiarity with agile development rhythms and documentation expectations
• Experience supporting information assurance/cybersecurity planning elements for analytics systems
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Hybrid support: Government site locations include Bldg 446/447/448, NAS Patuxent River, MD
• Normal hours typically M–F 0800–1630 (some offices allow 0600/0630–1800)
• Overtime is not authorized under this contract
• Telework/remote only with COR written approval (position/tasking dependent)
