Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Manufacturing Engineering Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in rural Iuka, MS.
The assignment includes responsibility for managing technical, schedule, cost, and resources across multiple programs and may include tooling development projects supporting manufacturing needs such as hand layup, fiber placement, assembly, machining, painting, and structural testing of composite parts. Iuka currently produces structures for Atlas, Delta, Antares, F-35 and other high-end related parts. Some of our work requires Secret Clearance. Our Iuka facility employs about 700 people across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Support Services with plans for continued growth. The work we do affects our national security. Our engineering team works across multiple programs, which are broken out by program and product families. You will guide your team to meet our customer needs and deliver quality products in a timely manner. Ownership and pride in work are important to our employees. Primary Level Salary Range: $109,000.00 - $163,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Provide technical leadership and oversight of engineering staff
- Support staff with the appropriate resources to solve problems
- Track department schedules, working to identify key parameters and metrics to increase efficiency and reduce program costs
- Plan manpower requirements, performing quarterly and annual performance reviews of staff

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with 5 years of engineering experience & 2 years leadership experience OR Masters with 3 years of engineering experience & 2 years leadership experience
- Experience creating work instructions and integration of design changes into the build package
- Experience with cross-functional engagement and building relationships with internal and external customers
- Must be have an active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelors in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field, or a Masters in a STEM field
- Active DoD security clearance
- Demonstrated work experience leading diverse teams and building teams from the ground up
- Working knowledge of composite manufacturing techniques
- Knowledge of continuous improvement
- Demonstrated broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, business and technical capabilities
