Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Project Management Level 3 individual contributor to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This Position is located onsite in Melbourne, FL.
The successful candidate is expected to be a highly motivated, resourceful, self-starter able to work collaboratively with internal and external teams. This role will actively work with team Program Integrators and engineers to integrate, control, and analyze schedule performance of Products to ensure success. This position will be expected to assist with producing, reviewing, tracking and delivery of Program related documents & drawings. The selected candidate should thrive working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, engaged within a collaborative team setting.
Key roles and responsibilities:
• Supports the Ground Systems Team to accomplish a variety of precise, time-sensitive monthly deliverables, metrics, and presentations
• Supports business management and technical meetings
• Supports the efforts of engineers, suppliers and schedule planners
• Supports technical evaluations of proposals
• Supports Risk, Issue and Opportunity management
• Supports requirements management processes and baselines
• Supports capturing, tracking and reporting metrics
• Supports the prioritization of tasks received from other team members.
• Supports drafting change management packages for boards while coordinating actions between stakeholders and package owners
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of related experience as defined below, OR Master's degree with 3 years of related experience as defined below.
• Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions that include CPLM or CDM.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Active DoD Secret level clearance is required to apply and to start the role, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret clearance
• Active SAP
• Security + Certification
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience with Atlassian Suite: JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence
• Experience with CPLM or CDM
• Experience with baseline version control
• Experience with DOORs requirements management database
• Experience with reviewing USAF Engineering Drawings, Specifications and Technical Orders
Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
