Description:The Avionics Program Management team seeks a Project Engineer to oversee the full lifecycle of both external and internal hardware production initiatives. The incumbent will lead planning, organization, control, integration, and execution of avionics missile-body manufacturing, electrical ground-support equipment, and related engineering projects.
Key responsibilities include regular collaboration with hardware, software, and test engineers, as well as production managers, to identify and mitigate program impacts arising from test failures, material shortages, fallout, and resource constraints.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience/combined education,
• 3+ years of professional experience,
• Experience in Project Management principles (Cost/Schedule/Technical),
• Experience managing risks and opportunities through a project lifecycle,
• Experience leading strategic, cross-functional projects with program level exposure and impact,
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelors degree - business management, engineering, project management, STEM or related discipline
• 5+ years of professional experience
• Experience or knowledge in Earned Value Management (EVM) such as prior CAM experience
• PMP Certification
• Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule and technical scope
• Demonstrated experience in driving complex issues or problems to successful closure
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of clear communication through multiple levels of senior and executive leadership
