Onsite Software Engineer - SDR Applications
Location: Hudson, NH | Duration: 3-6 Months | Shift: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Active Secret Clearance Required
About the Role
Join a high-impact engineering team as an Onsite Software Engineer to design and develop Software Defined Radio (SDR) applications under advanced architecture guidelines, including GRA and Big Iron. This contract role offers the unique opportunity to apply your deep technical expertise in embedded, real-time systems within an innovative and mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop multi-threaded real-time embedded software for SDR applications.
- Implement and optimize low-latency solutions in a Linux environment using C/C++ and Python.
- Integrate and manage container technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, and Helm.
- Develop and support container network interfaces and gRPC/pub-sub frameworks (NATS, ActiveMQ, ZeroMQ).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software solutions align with system architecture and mission requirements.
- Document, test, and troubleshoot DSP and SDR applications to ensure high performance and reliability.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's in Engineering from an accredited college or university and minimum 15 years of experience, or Master's with 13 years.
- Proven expertise in developing real-time, embedded, multi-threaded software in Linux environments.
- Advanced C/C++ and Python programming skills.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, Helm).
- Familiarity with pub/sub frameworks and gRPC.
- Solid background in DSP and SDR application development.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AMS-GRA, OMS-UCI, or Big Iron software frameworks.
- Prior DoD work involving Government Reference Architecture or Big Iron Architecture.
