The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the Finance Manager in the execution of daily, monthly, and year-end accounting and financial operations for Advanced Technology Leaders, Inc. This role performs essential accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, credit card transaction review and entry, invoicing, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and payroll support. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Finance Manager and Financial Account Manager to ensure the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of financial and management reports, including budget support, forecasting, and executive-level reporting.
The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and discretion, meet established deadlines, and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
- Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
- Assist in preparing general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
- Prepare payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
- Answer accounting and financial questions presented by executive leadership by researching and interpreting data.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Required Education and Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree with a specified concentration in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2 years of proven accounting experience
- Demonstrated full fluency in written and spoken English is required, including the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners

- Microsoft Word - Create, format, edit, and proofread professional documents; apply styles, templates, tables, headers/footers, and track changes.
- Microsoft Outlook - Effectively manage email, calendars, meetings, contacts, and task coordination in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft Excel - Create and maintain spreadsheets; use formulas and functions, sort and filter data, format worksheets, and generate basic reports.
- Adobe Acrobat - Create, edit, combine, secure, and manage PDF documents, including form completion, commenting, and document organization.
Proficiency in these tools is essential to performing the core functions of the role and will be assessed during the selection process.
