Duties
Help
  • Serve as Accountable Officer for a contractor operated Multi-Class Joint Theater Distribution Center Supply Support Activity (SSA) in the INDOPACOM / USARPAC Area of Operations
  • Provide oversight of the warehouses, storage facilities, and other supply facilities as required.
  • Conduct split-based operations connected via interior lines.
  • Responsible for Supply Support Activity (SSA) management and warehouse operations (receipt, store, issue, care of supplies in storage, second destination shipping, item disposition).
  • Responsible and retains pecuniary liability for all lines of Authorized to Forecast / Authorized Stockage List (ATF/ASL)
  • Maintain the Supply Support Activity (SSA) accountable records and the operation of the SSA software Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army).

  • Requires at least 25% travel (TDY) away from primary worksite to meet mission requirements.

  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with oversight for Supply Support Activity (SSA) management and warehouse operations; operating the Global Combat Support Systems - Army (GCSS- Army); identifying systematic issues and resolving customer problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
