In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, for the GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR CURRENT FEDERAL EMPLOYEES:
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level (or higher) in the Federal service which includes knowledge of an extensive body of rules, concepts, techniques, procedures, and operations of flying training programs to perform a wide variety of assignments involved in the development of academic training schedules for student classes which meet syllabus objectives. Knowledge of the organization's operations and functions sufficient to evaluate information gathered from various sources and use basic analytical methods and techniques to determine adequacy of, or deficiencies in the scheduling function. Knowledge of the flying training program mission and objectives to perform assignments and resolve a wide range of issues using accepted practices. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations, retrieve and input data, and maintain accurate files.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:Knowledge of the rules, concepts, techniques, procedures, and operations of flying training

Knowledge of the organization's operations and functions sufficient to evaluate information gathered from various sources to determine quality, accuracy, and applicability. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations, retrieve and input data, and maintain accurate files; a qualified typist is not required. Skill in applying basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve conflicts and determine
adequacy of, or deficiencies in the program. Ability to use one or more established computer programs/software (Microsoft Office) to enter,
maintain, sort, and retrieve organizational and/or program data. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
