DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the DRMD Records and Information Management (RIM) Evaluation Program through all stages of the evaluation process
• Coordinate with DRMD leadership and DON commands to schedule evaluations, conduct interviews and provide evaluation findings
• Validate and analyze RIM practices, file plans, and supporting documentation received from DON commands, and prepare pre-evaluation assessments
• Develop familiarity with RIM evaluation procedures and participate in command evaluation interviews
• Prepare comprehensive written reports documenting evaluation findings, compliance scores, and actionable recommendations
• Develop full working knowledge of DON/DoD/NARA guidelines and governing documents regarding federal records management and its application to RIM evaluations
• Edit and revise evaluation procedures, SOP’s and documentation for continuous progress improvement
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Top Secret Security Clearance
• 1+ year(s) experience working directly with Federal executive level agencies, Department of Defense, or the DON records functions, directives and instructions
• Bachelor’s Degree in information management related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Ability to collaborate with team members and work independently in support of evaluations (work will be a mix of on-site and telework, with possible travel to evaluations outside of the NCR)
• Strong communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to interact professionally with external DON commands, prepare clear and persuasive reports, and present findings to senior officials
• Appetite to develop subject matter expertise in federal records management policies and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel, Word and PowerPoint
