CNO Software Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a CNO Software Developer to support the development of advanced cyber capabilities within the defense and national security industry. The CNO Software Developer role is ideal for an engineer experienced in low-level programming, system internals, and mission-focused capability development.

Responsibilities of the CNO Software Developer:

• Design and develop new hardware- or software-based CNO capabilities.

• Manage the design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging of application software and systems.

• Apply expert knowledge of security concepts, system internals, and networks.

• Communicate technical status with leadership and customers.

• Ensure software engineering and quality standards are met.

Qualifications of the CNO Software Developer:

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of experience without a degree.

• Strong proficiency in Python and C/C++ programming.

• Hands-on experience with low-level system internals and networking (TCP/IP, sockets).

• Solid troubleshooting, debugging, and CNO capability development experience.

• Active TS/SCI with FS Polygraph clearance.

Compensation for the CNO Software Developer includes:

• Salary range: $130,000-$180,000

• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO

• Onsite or hybrid work based in Raleigh
