Site Deputy Program Manager - Edwards

The Site Deputy Program Manager will be responsible for planning and execution of services regarding the KC-46 aircraft located at Edwards AFB to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements and program objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • In the absence of the Site Program Manager, the Site Deputy Program Manager shall be responsible for all aspects of the deployment and management of contractor support personnel
  • Fully coordinate and collaborate on all tasks, activities, requirements, and issues as they pertain to the support of the customer.
  • Identify issues and adapt program plans according to the customer's feedback on the program cost, performance, quality, schedule, and risk.
  • Develop plans and schedules and define and document the implementation of requirements.
  • Use established program management procedures to monitor cost, schedule, and performance: assess variances of the plan and take necessary corrective action.
  • Identify potential downstream issues that may negatively affect meeting customers' requirements and provide recommendations to mitigate those negative impacts
  • Manage the customers' expectations with proactive, consistent, and transparent communication.
  • Reviewing business systems administration, resources, procedures, and methods to improve operational effectiveness, utility, and efficiency.
  • Overseeing the Contractor's Environmental, Health, and Safety functions, ensuring that all safe work practices are being followed.
  • Monitoring cost control, financial reports, budgeting, and overall operating costs.
  • Overseeing the coordination of work priorities and monitoring methods, procedures, and programs.
  • Improving cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Overseeing the monitoring and inspection of maintenance, repair, and service operations for quality control and contract compliance.
  • Ensuring that management and contract reports are accurate before submission.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of diverse management experience including experience in aviation systems.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of academic/technical/military training and experience preferred.
  • Possess excellent communication, analytical, project management and supervisory skills. Desktop computer skills are essential with proficiency in full range of Microsoft Office products and should be capable of preparing management level reports and presentations.
  • Possess a valid state issued drivers license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret clearance. NOTE: U.S. citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work site.


Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication and constant mental alertness. Must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines.

Compensation Details:
120,000
