Overview
Logistics Management Specialist (EO/IR 2026-24520):
Bowhead seeks a Senior Logistician to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division (NSWC-Crane). The Logistician will demonstrate experience in DOD Logistics, Configuration Management (CM), Acquisition, Quality, Records Management and Program Support in the Electro-Optic Technology Division (LXN), Electro-Optic Product Branch (LXNP) of the Sensor Integration and Technology Department. The candidate must provide innovative, well designed, and integrated approaches for logistics, configuration and data management support for EO/IR projects.

The candidate must provide innovative, well designed, and integrated approaches for logistics, configuration and data management support for EO/IR projects.
Responsibilities
Essential functions will include:
- Provide analytical support, management of records, coordination of schedules and correspondence, deliverables tracking, and assistance in the development of milestones and objectives
- Assist the government in the planning, execution, integration and oversight of all Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities and projects
- Demonstrate a mastery of and experience in working the five (5) CM elements:
- CM Management and Planning, identifying and evaluating configuration items (CI) by evaluating their purpose, complexity, and the needs
- Configuration Identification, identifying and documenting the functional, physical, and software characteristics of CIs
- Configuration Control / Change Management, establishing the baseline and managing control changes to CIs and their documentation.
- Configuration Status Accounting (CSA), providing a tracking of configuration documentation, identification numbers, configurations of fielded CIs, and the changes and variances to the configurations
- Configuration Verification & Audit, verifying conformance of CIs to configuration documentation to include but not limited to; performance specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICD), drawings, software media e.g. Compact Disk, Software Version Descriptions (SVD), and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
Qualifications
- Bachelors' Degree is preferred with eight (8) plus years professional experience performing acquisition logistics for DoD. Experience shall be relevant to the DoD acquisition process including program management, business management, and providing full product life cycle support guidance to the Program Office.
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
