MTSI is seeking to hire a Test Engineer to provide technical expertise and support to the Uncrewed Launch and Control (ULC) Product Office. The role involves developing Test Strategies; planning, coordinating, and executing test events; developing and reviewing test documentation to ensure the successful qualification of UAS launchers and control software. The Test Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, software developers, and program managers, to ensure test activities align with program objectives and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and update Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Reports to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Provide technical input to ensure test documentation is clear, accurate, and aligned with program requirements. Analyze test data and provide detailed assessments of system performance, reliability, and functionality.
- Communicate test results and recommendations to stakeholders, including leadership and external organizations.
- Plan and coordinate test events, including reserving test ranges, airspace, and other required resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities. Work with external organizations, such as test ranges and airspace management teams, to secure necessary approvals and resources.
- Ensure test events are conducted in compliance with Army and DoD standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Releases (AWR).
- Actively participate during on-site testing to resolve challenges and remove barriers.
- Work cross-organizationally to gain test efficiencies with other Product offices/ platforms to reduce cost and gain synergy. Work closely with systems engineers, software developers, and program managers to ensure test activities align with program objectives. Ensure alignment of test activities to requirements.
- Participate in technical reviews, working groups, and meetings to provide test-related input and expertise.
Required Qualifications:
- Clearance: US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in test engineering, preferably supporting Army or DoD programs.
- Experience planning and executing test events, including reserving test ranges and airspace and acquiring necessary resources.
- Experience writing or reviewing Test Plans, Test Strategies/TEMPs, and Test Reports.
- Experience with Army or DoD acquisition processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Agile software development and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with Army aviation systems and operational requirements.
- Experience with missile/UAS launchers, electronics assemblies, UAS.
- Experience with command-and-control software development and test.
- Familiarity with testing launchers, software, and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
