We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Engineer with deep expertise in 3D Harness Routing, Model-Based Design (MBD), and Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) regulations. In this role, you will take the lead in designing and developing state-of-the-art aircraft electrical systems within our Integrated Digital Environment (IDE). Your work will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with FAA 14 CFR, Part 25, Subpart H requirements and advancing our engineering capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead EWIS Design and Development: Take ownership of all aspects of EWIS design and development, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • 3D Harness Routing & Installation Design: Create and optimize 3D harness assemblies, routing, and installations using CATIA.
  • Apply Model-Based Design (MBD) principles to improve the accuracy and efficiency of EWIS design processes.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to identify and resolve system interferences and ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • EWIS Component Selection: Select and validate components that meet stringent performance and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on FAA EWIS regulations and ensure all designs are compliant with 14 CFR, Part 25, Subpart H.
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements to design tools, workflows, and processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Support Manufacturing and Test


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • 3D Harness Routing Expertise: Significant experience using advanced 3D harness routing and installation design tools (ie: CATIA).
  • EWIS Regulations Knowledge: In-depth understanding of EWIS design and regulatory requirements for large transport category aircraft (14 CFR, Part 25, Subpart H).
  • Model-Based Design (MBD): Proficiency in applying MBD principles in an engineering environment.
  • PLM Systems: Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (ie: 3DExperience, Enovia SmarTeam, Teamcenter).
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex EWIS system requirements and regulatory solutions to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Working knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles and mitigation methods for EWIS.
  • Familiarity with system safety principles and hazard mitigation strategies.


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Proficient knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations, with experience conducting export control classifications and jurisdiction reviews.
  • Prior experience in technical leadership roles or managing subcontractors.
  • Proven experience managing projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality results.
