Kentro is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) with deep federal program execution experience and substantial commercial product development background to lead cybersecurity product integration and federal mission delivery.

This role requires an executive-caliber leader capable of translating commercial product maturity and agile delivery discipline into the federal acquisition and compliance environment. The ideal candidate has operated successfully within both FAR-governed federal programs and commercial SaaS or platform product organizations.

The TPM will oversee large, complex programs and solution development while ensuring secure, scalable product delivery aligned to federal security frameworks.

Responsibilities:

Federal Program Leadership (12-15 Years Experience Required)
  • Lead large-scale federal cybersecurity programs (>$25M lifecycle preferred).
  • Manage scope, cost, schedule, and performance across multi-vendor environments.
  • Drive program governance under FAR/DFARS constructs (CPFF, T&M, FFP).
  • Lead customer engagement at SES/GS-15/O-6 equivalent levels.
  • Oversee Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), risk registers, and performance baselines.
  • Ensure alignment to agency modernization priorities (Zero Trust, cloud migration, AI integration).
  • Lead ATO lifecycle execution within RMF frameworks.

Commercial Product Development Integration (5-10 Years Experience Required)
  • Translate commercial agile product practices into federal delivery models.
  • Manage product lifecycle from roadmap definition through release management.
  • Integrate DevSecOps, CI/CD automation, and continuous security validation.
  • Coordinate product-market alignment with mission-specific federal use cases.
  • Drive feature prioritization based on customer feedback, security requirements, and regulatory constraints.
  • Align product velocity with compliance and audit requirements.

Cybersecurity & Compliance Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • NIST 800-53 / RMF
    • FedRAMP Moderate/High
    • CMMC (as applicable)
    • Zero Trust Architecture guidance (OMB M-22-09)
  • Oversee continuous monitoring and evidence automation.
  • Lead audit preparation and remediation planning.

Financial & Portfolio Management
  • Own program P&L, revenue forecasting, margin management.
  • Monitor burn rate, cost variance, and schedule performance.
  • Support new business capture, pricing strategy, and ROM development.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Executive Steering Committees.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Direct cross-functional teams including engineering, cybersecurity, product, compliance, and operations.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and teaming partners.
  • Mentor junior program managers and product leaders.
  • Establish scalable governance frameworks across multiple programs.

Location: Hybrid in McLean, VA. Up to 25% travel may be required based on customer engagement and executive reviews.

Requirements

  • 12-15 years of federal program management experience within GovCon.
  • 10+ years of commercial product development experience (SaaS, cybersecurity platform, cloud-native solutions).
  • Demonstrated success managing enterprise-scale federal cybersecurity programs.
  • Experience supporting DoD, VA, DHS, HHS, or Civilian Agencies.
  • Experience operating in both Agile and traditional acquisition environments.

Technical & Regulatory Expertise
  • Deep knowledge of:
    • NIST RMF lifecycle
    • FedRAMP authorization process
    • DevSecOps toolchains
    • Secure SDLC
    • Zero Trust frameworks
  • Experience leading ATO or continuous ATO efforts.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, GCP).

Contract & Financial Management
  • Experience managing:
    • Cost-plus contracts
    • Fixed-price contracts
    • IDIQ task orders
  • Experience with EVM reporting (where applicable).
  • Proven track record of delivering margin targets.

Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (STEM or related preferred)
  • Agile Scrum Certification
  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent strongly preferred.

Clearance
  • Active Secret clearance required; TS preferred.
