We are seeking an experienced Electronic Warfare Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Electronic Warfare Data Systems (EWDS) program at Naval Air Station (NAS) Point Mugu. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of EW systems, threat analysis, reprogramming processes, and Navy airborne EW mission operations. This role plays a critical part in advancing EW readiness, improving system performance, and supporting fleet warfighters with timely, high‑quality intelligence and data products.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical expert for EWDS program activities, providing guidance on system capabilities, workflows, and operational impacts.
Perform detailed analysis of radar, missile, and electromagnetic threat systems to support EW reprogramming and mission data development.
Review, validate, and interpret Electronic Warfare Operational Mission Data (OMD) and threat libraries.
Coordinate with Navy program offices, warfare centers, intelligence organizations, and fleet users to ensure EWDS products align with operational needs.
Support test planning, execution, and data evaluation for EW system upgrades, software loads, and mission data releases.
Develop technical documentation, briefings, and training materials for internal teams and external stakeholders.
Provide subject matter expertise during technical interchange meetings, working groups, and integrated product team (IPT) reviews.
Monitor emerging threat systems, EW technologies, and Navy requirements to inform roadmap and capability development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
8+ years of experience in Electronic Warfare, radar systems, or signals intelligence (SIGINT).
Strong understanding of Navy airborne EW systems, reprogramming workflows, and threat analysis processes.
Experience with EW mission data tools, threat modeling environments, or spectrum analysis software.
Ability to interpret technical intelligence and integrate it into EW mission products.
Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI highly preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting NAVAIR, NAWCWD, or NAS Point Mugu EW programs.
Familiarity with EWDS architectures, Navy reprogramming enterprise tools, or relevant test ranges.
Knowledge of distributed mission analysis, electronic attack systems, and performance modeling.
Experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
