Serco supports the Navy as prime for their Amphibious Assault & Connectors Program. You will be part of a dynamic team of On-site Representatives supporting the Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Program in Sasebo, Japan.
In this role you will:
- Support the Amphibious Assault & Connectors Program Office (PMS 317) as Senior Logistics Onsite Representative (OSR), required for the sustainment of the Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) at Naval Beach Unit 7 in Sasebo, Japan.
- Operate under the supervision of the PMS 317 Lead OSR at NBU 7 in supporting all logistics and accounting requirements to support seven forward deployed LCAC.
- Provide logistics support during craft Fleet Modernization Program (FMP) availability.
- Perform warehouse functions including the identification, receipt, stowage, preservation and issue of government assets.
- Support procurement efforts for parts and material support requirements to PMS 317 by using various systems, including R-Supply, One Touch, Track and Trace, Haystack.
- Add jobs to SA01 work center to support ordering parts for all PMS 317 funded requirements.
- Procure Program Office funded phased maintenance parts and material to support NBU 7 requirements.
- Track requisitions status and provide updates to the NBU 7 Supply Officer.
- Utilize Hazardous Material Management (HMM) to support tracking inventory, and issued HAZMAT for PMS 317 funded modernization and repair availabilities.
- Accomplish daily inventory of all PMS 317 HAZMAT located and stored at NBU 7 in Japan.
- Complete the Monthly Obligation and Verification (MOV) report.
- Provide status updates to NBU 7 Supply Officer to support discussions during meetings with TYCOM. Provides PMS 317 Lead OSR with allocation, funding balances, posts adjustments, and generates reports to support updates between PMS 317 Lead OSR and NBU 7 CO.
- Utilize SA01, R-Supply (Relational Supply Program), One Touch, Track and Trace, Hay Stack.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- To obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance upon employment.
- A Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant work experience.
- or in lieu of a degree, Serco will consider a candidate with 11 years or more of logistics experience.
- To obtain certifications to operate 6K and 20K forklifts within two months of employment. Training will be provided upon completion of onboarding process.
- An excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- To be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written.
- To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- To be familiar with issuing Government Furnished Material (GFM) to support Fleet availabilities.
- To be familiar with packing and shipping of material.
- Experience with managing storage, issue, and inventory of parts.
- A strong working knowledge of NTCSS (R-SUPPLY /OMMS-NG) is required.
- The ability to use Track and Trace and a working knowledge of One Touch Supply (OTS) database is required.
- To be familiar with procuring GFM utilizing MILSTRIP procedures.
- Prior Navy Logistician / Supply Corps Officers and will have the shortest learning curve for this position.
- To be able to travel 10%.
