Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to serve on the IFG and ADP Armament team. Applicant will be working as part of the Weapons Integration organization in the Armament Functional Team, supporting ADP, F-16, and F-22 platforms. The team has the overall design, development, testing, production support, certification, integration, and end user support responsibility for a number of weapons-related mechanical and structural components and systems. These include: Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) which consists of pylons, adapters, launchers, and other in-house designed hardware, Suspension and Release Equipment Systems (S&RES) which include high-pressure pneumatic ejection systems, Gun Systems (both internal and missionized pods), and the Stores Management System (SMS).

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of computerized modeling and drafting (CAD) and the defense industry and national security.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

- Computerized modeling and drafting (CAD) experience

- Strong interest in the defense industry and national security

- Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
- Adaptable and willingness to stretch technically and learn new things

- Demonstrated problem solving skills

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment

- Knowledge of Airworthiness process and artifacts

- CATIA and MATLAB

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
