Description:The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the decomposition of high level training system requirements into detailed, verifiable system specifications and create CAMEO (SysML) architecture models. The role demands a strong background in Human Factors to ensure that training solutions are pilot/maintainer centered, and meet performance objectives. The incumbent will collaborate with subject matter experts, program managers, and software/hardware engineers throughout the system development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities are listed below.
Requirement Decomposition
- Translate user and stakeholder needs into hierarchical,
traceable system requirements.
- Apply use case analysis, functional analysis, allocation,
and verification planning to ensure completeness and
consistency of system design
CAMEO Architecture Modeling
- Develop SysML models (Behavioral, Structural and
Requirement Diagrams) using CAMEO Systems
Modeler.
- Produce architecture views (operational, logical,
physical) that support system design
Human Factors Integration
- Conduct human systems interaction analyses (e.g.,
workload, situational awareness, ergonomics) into
requirements and designs.
- Validate designs against human performance criteria
and relevant standards
Verification & Validation (V&V)
- Define testable acceptance criteria, develop V&V
plans, and support test execution.
Collaboration & Communication
- Liaise with training content developers, simulation
engineers, and acquisition personnel.
- Produce clear documentation: requirement baselines,
model repositories, trade studies, and status reports.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Factors Engineering, or related field with Human Factors experience.
• Proven expertise in requirement decomposition and traceability.
• Proficiency with CAMEO Systems Modeler (SysML) and DOORs.
• Strong knowledge of Human Factors principles and application to training systems.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships (both internal to LM and with customers)
• Experience with control account management, project planning, and scheduling
• Familiarity with Bedford Workload, China Lake Situation Awareness, and USAF Usability scales-
• Experience with tactical aircrafts-
• Experience with lab & flight testing- Interacting with and surveying customer aviators-
• Experience with UX/UI - Familiarity with MIL-STD-1472 and MIL-STD-516

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
