Position Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or a Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from an accredited university.
- Five years combined experience supporting a sustainment environment such as military depot or equivalent.
- Experience shall include:
- Analyzing complex electronic circuitry and precision electro- mechanical assemblies in order to recommend component substitutions to ensure the integrity of the platform configuration, safety and performance specifications.
- Identifying, analyzing and solving obsolescence issues across multiple platforms before they impact sustainment.
- Accessing, interpreting and recommending changes to engineering drawings utilizing data repositories such as JEDMICS or commercial equivalent.
- Interpreting and approving detailed technical data to support the replacement of components for items where the manufacturer has discontinued production, including: existing stock, reclamation, alternate, aftermarket, F3I substitutions, emulation, and minor/major redesigns.
- Analyzing complex electronic circuitry and precision electro- mechanical assemblies in order to recommend component substitutions to ensure the integrity of the platform configuration, safety and performance specifications.
